This site does not measure its audience, does not profile anyone and sells nothing. It carries no third party script, no analytics tool and no ad network. There is therefore no consent banner to show, for want of a tracker to have accepted.
Two values at most are written to your browser. The first, under the key theme, is kept in local storage and only if you switch between the light and dark themes. It is light or dark, nothing else.
The second, the cookie NEXT_LOCALE, is written only if you change the language from the switcher in the header. It holds the language code you chose, and lets a later visit open in that language rather than guessing from your browser's settings.
Neither value identifies you, and neither is used to track you. You can delete both at any time by clearing this site's data from your browser settings.
Both are strictly necessary to a service you asked for, namely remembering a display preference and a language, so they fall outside prior consent under the CNIL's guidelines.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., acting as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR. Like any host, Vercel Inc. technically records the requests it receives: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type. These logs serve to provide the service, to secure it and to diagnose failures. This processing rests on the legitimate interest in running a site that is available and safe.
I do not consult these logs, keep no copy of them and draw no statistics from them. Their retention period is set by the host alone, under the rules described in its privacy policy.
As Vercel Inc. is established in the United States, a transfer of data outside the European Union takes place. It is governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, and by Vercel Inc.'s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
There is no form on this site. If you write to me at geoffrey.migliacci@gmail.com, your address and the content of your message are used only to reply to you, and stay in my mailbox. They are neither passed on nor reused for other purposes.
